As an agency, Great West Canadian Talent adheres to the guidelines for professional agents, uses three casting websites to promote actors. It charges the standard fee of 15% of the actors gross.

As an agency, Great West Canadian Talent does not and has never required actors to take training here to be represented by this agency. It does require all actors seeking representation to have professional level film acting and audition training. It offers professional training in both as an option for talent without professional training. It currently and has over the years represented clients who have trained at The U of A BFA program, The National Theatre School of Canada, Red Deer College, Grant MacEwan University, the Neighborhood Play House in New York, The National Theatre School of Cuba, Lethbridge University BFA program, and various Vancouver full time acting schools and independent instructors.

Conversely some students have started or taken a large block of training here, and gone on to various other schools for full time training including the U of Alberta’s BFA professional program, The Vancouver Film School, the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts, The Vancouver Institute of Media Arts, New York University Film School, and The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

Clients with full time prior training have also taken from time to time the option of on-camera audition courses/or coaching and include graduates of The National Theatre School, Vancouver Film School, Capilano College, Lethbridge U BFA program, and The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York.
